Kathi Miracle

Kathi holds a master’s degree in Gerontology with an emphasis in dementia and elder abuse; and a double bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology, all from the University of Northern Colorado. She is a National Council Certified Dementia Practitioner (NCCDP), a Certified Brain Trainer and holds a Long-Term Care Insurance Certification.

As stated on the Home page, Kathi’s career has spanned more than 30 years working with seniors affected by various forms of Dementia, counseling others on the care, dignity and safety of those on this journey. From being an executive director running assisted living residences to running a home care agency as a general manager. She also managed cases for Medicaid clients and worked with long term care insurance.

She has served as a member of the board of directors for Connections for Independent Living, RVNA Home Health, Eldergarden Adult Day Care, and the Colorado Assisted Living Association as their Education Coordinator. In July 2007 she was published in the National Association of Insurance Women magazine on proper long-term care planning. She has spent time as part of the speakers’ bureau for the Alzheimer’s Association in Denver, as well as being a candidate for Governor Hickenlooper’s committee on Aging for the State of Colorado.

In her career, Kathi has presented at various conferences and trainings within the United States and has been asked to speak internationally on the topic of dementia. She has given nearly 1000 presentations and trainings on topics like dementia and other senior care issues. She has rewritten dementia programs as well as created various training initiatives for both assisted living residences and home care. As an approved consultant by the State Health Department for Assisted Living Residences in Colorado, she is not only sought after both nationally and internationally but has also served as a Subject Matter Expert in a dementia related court case.

Kathi and her husband are owners of a LearningRx franchise in Denver, CO. LearningRx focuses on strengthening cognitive skills at an early age. Focusing on one-on- one brain training helps individuals learn easier, think faster, and improve memory. Kathi's career has truly been dedicated to the field of cognitive care for people of all ages, and she whole-heartedly believes that the benefits of brain training can lead to a better brain at any age!

Kathi is the founder of Silver Tsunami Aging Info – an online education program for families who are caring for someone with dementia. The education courses will equip family caregivers with knowledge of the dementia journey, and better prepare them to handle challenges they'll face alongside their loved-one.
